‘Ente Keralam’ Mega Fair Draws Large Crowds – The New Indian Express

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The ‘Ente Keralam’ mega fair organized by the LDF government as part of the first anniversary of its second term has started in the state capital. The seven-day fair showcases products from various contractors in the district and government departments. The information and public relations department and the district administration together with various departments lead the events. A total of 150 stands were set up as part of the “Ente Keralam” exhibition-marketing-service fair.

No less than 20 service booths set up by about 15 departments offer live free services to the public while 104 exhibition booths showcase the services and activities of government departments to the public. More than 150 market kiosks and food courts sell the products of small entrepreneurs, government departments and agencies at low prices. People can visit the fair from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and admission is free. The service stands will be open until 6 p.m. Fully refrigerated stands are there.

There is also an extensive collection of decorative and daily use items. Stalls selling handicrafts and kitchen utensils made from organic materials like bamboo, reeds and stalks attract a lot of people. Pure coconut oil, honey, mushroom dishes and sweets prepared by small entrepreneurs are sold at below market prices. Another attraction of the fair is the murals made on canvas and various decorative products. Balaramapuram loom, khadi clothes and various locally made jewelry are also some of the attractions of the exhibition. The fair aims to encourage entrepreneurs and provide the public with quality products at reasonable prices.

At the Akshaya center booth, visitors can submit requests for new Aadhaar cards, correct name or mobile number on Aadhaar card, and also register for Aadhaar cards for children. The facilities provided at the health department booth are the registration of a unique health identity card and identification cards for the disabled.

Officials will also help make corrections in Covid vaccination certificates. The fair also offers services related to ration card, registration of KSEB rooftop solar project, submission of application for new electricity connection, registration or renewal of registration with the service of employment, ANERT services, soil analysis by the mobile unit of the agriculture service and the installation to check the quality of water, milk and edible oil by the food safety service mobile laboratory.

The Revenue Service booth provides the facilities to submit or check the status of the CMDRF Assistance Request and Covid Relief Assistance Request. The food festival offers ethnic dishes from Thiruvananthapuram as well as tribal food. Information on other Revenue Service services is available.
