Noida: The 16th Indian Fashion Jewelery and Accessories Show 2022 and the 67th India International Garment (IIGF) in Greater Noida was inaugurated on Monday by Piyush GoyalUnion Minister for Trade and Industry, Consumer AffairsFood and Public Distribution and Textiles.
In his inaugural speech, the Minister underscored the importance of the textiles and handicrafts sector in contributing to India’s growth and development, with an expected doubling of production and a tripling of exports within five to next six years.
The 16th edition of IFJAS is open to overseas buyers, purchasing and sourcing professionals and domestic retail buyers. More than 150 exhibitors from various parts of the country presented costume jewelry, semi-precious jewelry, belts, wallets and clothing accessories such as stoles and scarves, shawls, embroidered, beaded and sequined accessories.
At least 2,000 visitors from 40 countries can visit the exhibition organized by the Handicrafts Export Promotion Council.
Sandeep Chhabra, Chairman of the Host Committee, IFJAS 2022, said that as part of efforts to promote the products of artisans from different handicraft groups, an exclusive regional exhibition with participants from across the country has been set up. place at the IFJAS. “It will also be an attraction for shoppers, and their visit to the artisan stalls will lift the spirits of participating primary producers during the three-day celebration,” he said.
