HGH India begins; hosts 35,000 retailers from 500 cities and towns

The HGH India 2022 trade show opened its doors at India’s exhibition hub, Greater Noida, to more than 35,000 retailers from 500 cities and towns across the country. Products from over 400 top brands and manufacturers from across India and 26 other countries will be on display till July 15.

Over 100 new exhibitors will be showcasing their range for the first time at HGH India, in addition to 300 regular exhibitors who will be launching their new collections for the upcoming Diwali and festive season. Visitors will experience a good mix of innovation and stability in supply. Collections developed through partnerships like Suneet Varma Decor with Rumours, Ritu Kumar Home with F&F, Nautica with Bianca and Indian Canvas with Excel Wallpapers will be launched at HGH India 22, organizers announced in a press release.

The inauguration was graced by Chief Guest Darshana Vikram Jardosh, Minister of State (MoS) for Textiles and Railways, Government of India, UP Singh, Secretary for Textiles, Government of India and BB Swain, Secretary, Ministry of MSMEs, Government of India and acclaimed fashion designer Suneet Varma.

“The 11th edition of HGH India takes place at a time when India is celebrating its 75e year of independence (Amrut Mohatsav) which is the best time to introduce the wave of the brand in India and shine it around the world. HGH India promotes local artisans and small players, helping them grow through this platform. There are events that either focus on the domestic market or the international players, but here at HGH India, it’s a nice amalgamation of both worlds, making it a blend of talent, innovation and technology in this space. Platforms like these further support India’s Atmanirbhar Bharat Mission,” said MoS Jardosh.

At HGH India 2022, there will be 6 focus areas – Sleep World, Home Furniture, Smart Kitchen, Walls & Windows, and Kids Home & Outdoors. HGH India is a convergence of global and Indian exhibitors with a clear focus on India’s domestic market.

The show is an opportunity to discover several products and stabilize the supply in categories such as upholstery, blinds, bed and bathroom, decorative make-up, table and kitchen linen, rugs and carpets, wallpapers, wooden and synthetic floors, decorative accessories, handicrafts. , home furnishings, outdoor lifestyle, housewares, cookware, cookware, glassware, tableware, plastic products, children’s home products and a variety of gifts. Innovations from over 400 brands and manufacturers from 30 countries and all major production and export hubs across India are on display at HGH India 2022.

“I am extremely happy to be at HGH India. I was lucky enough to attend HGH India last year as well. I am told that it is now a bi-annual show and will continue to take place in both New Delhi and Mumbai. In India, whenever we talk about textiles, we always rely on export figures. It is a matter of satisfaction that last year India exported over $44 billion worth of textiles and handicrafts which is an all time high. The demand for textiles in the domestic market is very high. “The government has also launched 7 mega textile parks which would support the high logistics costs as well as the fragmented value chain we have. Most of the major export destinations like USA and EU are all opting for a China plus one strategy which will prove beneficial for India as the cost of labor is low compared to the China,” Singh added.

Arun Roongta, Managing Director, HGH India, spoke about the expected results of the 11e edition, which is also the second consecutive show in Greater Noida.
