JAIPUR: The State Cabinet decided on Saturday to grant age relaxation to applicants from Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) similar to other reserved categories in the remaining four services.
These four services are Rajasthan Librarian and Physical Instructor Service (College Branch) Rules, Rajasthan Science and Technology (State and Subordinate) Service Rules, Rajasthan Home Guard Subordinate Service Rules and Rajasthan Vishram Bhawan (State and Subordinate) Service Rules .

The Rajasthan Regulations on Appointment of Dependents of Defense Personnel of Martyrs, 2018 have been repealed and the new rule “Rajasthan Defense Personnel Rules on Appointment of Dependents of Martyr, 2022” has been approved. From now on as joint family member, wife, son/adopted son, daughter/adopted daughter, grandson/adopted grandson, granddaughter/adopted granddaughter as well as newborn/adopted newborn , as well as brother or sister, brother’s son/daughter, sister’s son/daughter are also included in the category of dependents.
Until now, only dependents of martyrs who sacrificed their lives between August 15, 1947 and December 31, 1970 were recruited into government service. This period has now been extended to 31 December 1971. The firm has also decided to operate the Palace on Wheels on Operation and Maintenance (O&M) model under the “Bharat Gaurav Train Policy” of Indian Railways from 2022 to 23. Operation of the train is proposed from October 2022. Ownership of the train will remain with RTDC.
