The new wax figure of KSI created by Madame Tussauds

With over 80 famous faces, Madame Tussauds Blackpool gives visitors the chance to get up close to their heroes, from sports stars to TV favourites, movie icons, singing sensations and everything in between.

It takes a team of 25 artists to work on a wax figure, spending a total of 800 hours collectively. This includes: 350 hours to sculpt the figure, 187 hours to insert hair and 30 hours to make teeth.

KSI joins 2,000 wax figures on display worldwide, with approximately 150 kg of clay used to sculpt each figure equaling 23 stones, the average weight of a tiger.

Kyle added, “A team of the most skilled, artistic and passionate people from around the world are involved in achieving the perfect wax figure and attention to detail is essential. The eyes are hand painted and every little detail is duplicated, including using fine red silk threads as veins in the whites of the eyes.

Principal sculptor Stephen Mansfield and senior color artist Amanda Tremewan of Madame Tussauds put the finishing touches on KSI’s wax figure at the O2

“Our costume department also works with some of the most sought after designers and stylists in the world to make sure we get the 100% figure for fans to love. We’ve even donated clothes from celebrities’ personal wardrobes that they’ve worn to an event.
