There is something about burning a candle that makes me feel like a more accomplished person – someone who is calm, ritualistic and always ready if someone should pass by. It’s also a good idea now that I’m constantly working from home – something that sets a mood, sets a mood, and makes the dining table a bit more civilized. If you’re in a similar boat (or just love a nice candle), I’ve rounded up a few new launches here that should definitely be on your radar. From cinema candy bar scents to Positano in wax and wick form, there is something for all tastes, budgets and interior aesthetics.

Diptyque Citronella Candle, $ 94. buy now

If you want your space to smell of lemon, salty air and neroli, this candle is for you. Much like an Italian aperitif, it is tangy and light but distinctly sweet. And once you’ve burned down, you end up with a hand painted vessel. Use it to store makeup brushes or to sip your morning coffee.

Glasshouse scented candle in Movie Night, $ 55. BUY NOW

The latest Glasshouse collection is called Sugar Coated and celebrates all that is sweet and delicious. Movie Night in particular is a syrupy mix of vanilla ice cream, hot waffle cones, and salted caramel popcorn, although as it burns the scent is much sweeter. Nutty and warm, it’s unique and wonderfully addicting.

Cire Trudon atria alabaster candle via libertine perfumery, $ 299. buy now

Soft and lightly powdery, this candle smells like clean skin still warm from the shower. With notes of iris, amber and cashmere wood, it is high but still extremely comforting, like a hug in olfactory form. The milky white stone vessel is also a treat.

Christian Dior Parfums Eden Roc candle, $ 130. BUY NOW

Inspired by the famous Hotel Du Cap Eden Roc, Christian Dior’s latest fragrance is expensive and fabulous, much like the southern French outpost that is home to the rich and famous. Woody, salty and sun-drenched, it’s a warm and wonderful scent that will transport you when you close your eyes (even if only for a moment).

Lumira Paradiso del sole, $ 70. BUY NOW

If you prefer simple, clean scents in your home, Paradiso Del Sole is wonderful of all kinds. Light and tangy, it’s a refreshing blend of tangerine, bergamot and lavender, perfect for giving your desk / dining table a little boost.

Aesop Callippus aromatic candle, $ 135. BUY NOW

Callipus smells like a long walk through a dense forest. It’s woody, earthy, and distinctly green, thanks in part to a blend of frankincense, guaiac wood, and shisho. Burn this one down when you want to feel like you’re not at home, but tearing up a book in a secluded cabin somewhere far away.
